This Spring, we will be running The Wizard of Oz workshops, teaching singing, acting and dancing skills, which can be showcased in an unique opportunity to appear in our professional production of The Wizard of Oz at Stanley Civic Hall.

Workshop places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-secured basis with a non-refundable deposit of £10 required. There will be a further one-off fee of £50 to cover the costs of tuition, rehearsal, costume hire etc.

Children must be aged between 5-15  (within compulsory education age)

No previous experience is required and all successful applicants will receive tuition from our (DBS Checked) teaching staff.

WORKSHOP DATES AND PERFORMANCES

The Wizard of Oz will be staged at Stanley Civic Hall during the spring half-term break, from Saturday 28th May to Saturday 4th June 2022. Each child will be allocated a team: Red, Yellow or Blue, and will have the opportunity to appear in THREE performances. Please select your performance preferences upon registration.

• Technical/Dress rehearsals will be held at on the day of the first performance for each team.

• We do not envisage that any time off school will be needed.

• Rehearsals will be held out of school hours on the following dates: Sunday 1st May, Sunday 8th May, Sunday 15th May, Sunday 22nd May 2022 (Full attendance required.)​ at Heron House, NE16 4SP from 12:30PM-4:30PM

GENERAL INFORMATION

• Would-be performers must check their holiday dates against rehearsal and show dates prior to audition.

• Participants must be aged between 5-15 and within compulsory education by the performance date.

• Non-refundable £10 per child deposit is required to secure a workshop place. A further one-off £50 fee is required for the workshops to cover tuition, rehearsal, costume hire etc. No other charges to take part in the production.

• Please do not bring valuables to the audition. We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage.

• We will require each child to ​provide their own black pumps/jazz shoes.
