Reece Sibbald Productions are on the lookout for local talent to join the cast of
TREASURE ISLAND at the Playhouse, Whitley Bay
Auditions will be held at the PLAYHOUSE, Whitley Bay
on Sunday 10th May & Sunday 17th May 2020
Performers only need to attend one audition date
We're looking for Boys and Girls, age range 5-15
Online pre-registration is preferred, although registration is available from 10am on each audition date
We are currently seeking local children between 5-15 to join our Junior Ensemble in 2020's summer production.
Auditionees are only required to attend one of the above dates.
Children will play various roles within the production, such as: Pirates, Sailors and Mermaids alongside other character roles.
No previous experience is required and all successful applicants will receive in our classes for professional tuition from our (DBS Checked) teaching staff in musical theatre skills and the opportunity to perform alongside a professional cast.
Several teams of performers will be required for this exciting production and teams will be split and perform on designated dates agreed upon audition success.

SHOW DATES AND REHEARSALS
TREASURE ISLAND will be staged at the PLAYHOUSE, Whitley Bay during the summer holidays, from Wednesday 5th to Sunday 9th August 2020 on the following schedule: 5th Aug - 7pm, 6th Aug - 2.30pm & 7pm, 7th Aug - 2.30pm & 7pm, 8th Aug - 2.30pm & 7pm, 9th Aug - 1pm & 5pm
Technical/Dress rehearsals will be held at 12Noon on the day of the performance for each team.
We do not envisage that any time off school will be needed.
Rehearsals will be held out of school hours, for 1 hour sessions at in the North Tyneside area (Venue TBC) on the following dates: Sunday 21st June, Sunday 28th June, Sunday 5th July, Sunday 12th June, Sunday 19th June, Sunday 26th July 2020 (Full attendance required.)
Auditionees need to come in comfortable clothing, appropriate footwear and bring drinks and snacks. They should not bring backing tracks or prepared pieces. They will be taught a short dance routine by our choreographer on the day and perform it in their group session.
Would-be performers must check their holiday dates against rehearsal and show dates prior to audition. Those who are successful will be required to pay a one-off charge of £50 to cover costs of 6 one-hour rehearsals, tuition, costume hire ect. There will be no other charges to take part in the production.
Youngsters must be accompanied by a responsible adult to register at 10am prompt. Adults will be required to wait for their children in the Theatre Foyer until their child has been auditioned. Children will be auditioned in groups of approximately 20 in a workshop manner.
Children must be within full time education (i.e. have not left year 11) by the time of the production.
Previous audition days have taken several hours. We have known 300 youngsters to arrive in the past and you will appreciate it presents difficulties for even the best run organisations to process and audition such numbers successfully. We do ask that parents/guardians are patient.
Please do not bring valuables to the audition. We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage.
